Fall 2024: Armor Wars Series (Prediction)
The series starring Don Cheadle has been confirmed to be a work in progress, but her absence from the Phase 5 lineup left many fans wondering. Perhaps the most likely answer is that it’s only on the list of shows coming in Phase 6, and we suspect it’ll be the first. We’d also like to make another guess, that the reason Armor Wars comes so much later is because Cheadle’s character is revealed to be a Skrull in Secret Invasion. The series that focuses on his character has to come after that anyway, but it also makes a lot of sense that it takes place right after Thunderbolts.

November 8, 2024: Fantastic Four (Confirmed)
Kevin Feige flatly confirmed that the Fantastic Four MCU reboot will release in November 2024, marking the first film in Phase 6 and starting the path to Secret Wars. This movie will be necessary to get to the final movie of The Multiverse Saga, since the first family of Marvels has an important role in this story.

February 14, 2025: Squadron Supreme (prediction)
The structure of most films in these recent phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is primarily sequels, with approximately two new “franchises” beginning. For example, Phase 5 only has Blade and Thunderbolts as “new” movies, while the other four titles are all sequels. We expect Phase 6 to do the same, and we suspect Marvel will roll at Squadron Supreme in February slot.
One thing Marvel Studios can do to really build the path to Secret Wars is set stories on another earth. They can do this by giving us a Squadron Supreme movie that focuses on Hyperion, of course, and makes audiences believe it’s set in the MCU’s “616” universe, just to knock the rug out from under our feet and a to show a world destroyed by an incursion. and Hyperion his sole survivor.

Spring 2025: Wakanda TV Series (Prediction)
The Wakanda-centric series has been confirmed to be in the works for Disney+, although no official word has been given as to what it will be. With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever When this November arrives there will be some distance between the film and what this TV show will ultimately be, but Marvel fans will no doubt want an update on what’s happening in the kingdom before then Secret Wars begins. Don’t forget that Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers witnessed the first raid on Earth-616 in Wakanda.

Spring 2025: Young Avengers Series (Prediction)
Marvel Studios has carefully laid the groundwork for their Young Avengers debut, introducing most of the key characters to other shows and teasing their arrival in a few upcoming projects. Billy and Tommy were introduced in WandaVision, Kate Bishop debuted as Hawkeye in her series co-star with Jeremy Renner, America Chavez entered our universe in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Cassie Lang becomes official in Ant-Man and the Wasp : Quantumania. It would make sense for these heroes to come together at the end of Phase 6, not just for Secret Wars, but for what’s next…

May 2, 2025: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (Confirmed)
Summer 2025 begins with Avengers 5 subtitled The Kang Dynasty and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. What is unclear about the film is… who will be part of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in this film? One guess is that Captain Marvel and Hulk continued the team as seen at the end of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We suspect the rest of the roster will include Shang-Chi himself, as well as Wong, Sam Wilson/Captain America and maybe some of the newcomers from the Young Avengers.

Summer 2025: Ghost Rider Series (Prediction)
Marvel seems very keen on Ghost Rider returning, and he seems like exactly the kind of character they’d rather put on Disney+ than on the big screen premiere. In the run-up to Secret Wars, which could very well see something like a return of Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze, it seems like a great idea to keep the MCU version of Spirit of Vengeance firmly in viewers’ minds. Mainly because of what we think is coming next…

July 25, 2025: Doctor Strange 3 (Prediction)
The post credit scene for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness planted the seed of Charlize Theron as Clea and she recruited Stephen Strange to help her fix a heist. So far, the incursions mentioned in this sequel are the only clue to getting there Secret Warsso another build paving the way to the ending of The Multiverse Saga is a must.

November 7, 2025: Avengers: Secret Wars (Confirmed)
It happens. The thing that Anthony and Joe Russo have been campaigning to direct (and apparently won’t do) for years and that Marvel fans have suspected is on the horizon is officially on the way and will conclude The Multiverse Saga. Avengers: Secret Wars will apparently draw from the Jonathan Hickman-penned 2015 reboot of the title, which combined several different earths/timelines/universes into one planet, the all-new Battle World.
Following the monster success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans will almost certainly be expecting many multiverse appearances in Secret Wars. So what does that mean? Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine? Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider? A council of Reeds made up of all the other Reed Richards on screen? Wesley Snipe’s blade? The sky is the limit and the best part is that anything imaginable could happen.
Details on Secret Wars aren’t available right now, other than that they’re targeting a director other than Destin Daniel Cretton, who will helm Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Given the schedule for these two films to be released six months apart, it makes sense why they would need two directors, but with the potential for a cast to rival Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios will need someone who can large aircraft can land. No pressure.
