The Queen celebrates happy wedding news during the summer holidays in Balmoral

Even though the Queen Usually very busy, she recently took the time to do something very unexpected when she sent a card to comedian John Bishop’s parents.

The heartwarming card was sent to the couple to celebrate the couple’s 61st wedding anniversary, which took place on April 1, 2022. The card featured a stunning photo of the monarch and inside read the message: “I am delighted to know that you celebrated your sixty-first wedding anniversary on April 1, 2022. I send you my congratulations and best wishes on this special occasion.“The message ended with Her Majesty’s signature.

Shocked his parents had received the card, John shared it on Instagram, writing: “Nice thing for Liz to remember my mom and dad’s anniversary.”

Fans were impressed with both the card and the longevity of John’s parents’ relationship, with one writing: “A class action.”

A second shared: “My parents celebrated their 60th birthday on the same day as yours. They loved their card too!‘ while a third added: ‘Well, that’s a bit special. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bishop.”

And a fourth wrote: “No small feat. If only there were more like your mother and father! I hope me and Mr. Bish live to be 60… 47 by now and I wouldn’t change a thing. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Bishop.”

The Queen is currently enjoying her summer break in Balmoral, where she arrived earlier this month.

She will likely spend several months at the estate and will no doubt be joined by other members of her family during her time there.

Her Majesty has a fondness for Scotland

The Queen normally travels to Balmoral from mid to late July, initially staying at Craigowan Lodge – the stone house located a mile from Balmoral’s main castle.

She will reside in the seven-bedroom lodge until her primary Scottish residence closes to the public on August 2. The Queen usually stays in Scotland until September/October before her royal duties resume.

Scotland is considered one of the Queen’s favorite places; She and her late husband Prince Philip even spent part of their honeymoon in 1947 at Birkhall Hunting Lodge, which is on the estate.
