Shawn Mendes was supposed to be touring internationally this summer, but unfortunately for the Mendes Army, the pop star just canceled his Toronto shows and the rest of his tour.
Announced on his social media, Mendes wrote a statement explaining his decision that he was not ready to return to the tour after some time due to the past few years.

“I started this tour excited to finally be able to play live again after a long hiatus due to the pandemic, but the reality is I wasn’t prepared at all for how difficult touring was going to be after this time,” the statement said.
Shawn goes on to explain that he has had to cancel tour dates in North America, the UK and Europe to take some time off to take care of his health.
“I know you’ve all been waiting so long to see these shows and it breaks my heart to tell you this, but I promise I’ll be back once I’ve taken the proper time to to heal.”
Fans were quick to express their love for the singer across social media.
Sometimes we are not always ready and we always need time to ourselves so I hope you can heal yourself and I will always be there for you, you are one of the most important people in my life and I love you very much, me ‘ I’m sorry for all of that

sometimes it all gets a bit too much
but you must realize that the fog will soon lift
and you don’t have to be afraid
because we are all the same
