Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s heartbreak after family home in US is visited by police after fears of intruders
Prince Harry and Megan MarkleThe family’s home in Montecito, California was the subject of two burglary attempts in just 12 days.

The property – where the couple lives with their two young children Archie, three, and one-year-old Lilibet – was visited by police on both occasions Sun reports.

Santa Barbara Police Department records show officers visited the home at 5:44 p.m. on May 19. Remarkably, that day marked the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary.

They then responded to a second intruder report at 3:21pm on May 31 – around the same time the family left California for the UK to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The couple’s home has been the subject of numerous fears of intruders
Both burglaries were registered by police as trespassing, property crime and “suspicious circumstances”.

It is reported that Santa Barbara Police have received six security calls on Harry and Meghan in the past 14 months.
Harry and Meghan moved into their Montecito estate in 2020
The Sussexes moved into the Montecito mansion — officially known as the Chateau of River Rock — in June 2020. The property has a spa, a tennis court and a private playground for their children.

Known for its secluded hillside properties that promise the ultimate in privacy, the neighborhood has attracted a slew of celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, and Ellen DeGeneres to own homes there. Harry and Meghan’s estate is located on a private road with a long driveway and large security gates.
The couple share their home with children Archie and Lilibet
Inside, the house has a total of nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. There is also reportedly a separate guest house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which Harry and Meghan will no doubt use for other family members and particularly Meghan’s mother, Doria, who lives nearby in Los Angeles and will likely be spending time there.

The main house includes a library, office, spa with separate dry and wet saunas, gym, games room, arcade, cinema, wine cellar and a five car garage.
Harry and Meghan have made the United States their home
Outside there are endless lawns with tiered rose gardens, a tennis court, a tea house, a large outdoor pool and even a children’s cottage for Archie and Lilibet.
