Imagine you just found out that you will be fired six months after your hire date. Imagine you just found out that the hiring manager picked “the other candidate,” and yet you’re great at what you do. There is no feedback, hint or indication that you are not “perfect” for the job. You are devastated! You ask your boss, “What do I have to do to get a promotion?” and he hands you over all his non-promotional projects, administrative tasks, and things that advance his career, but not necessarily yours. Sound familiar? Now you really are in a pickle! You are now busier than ever, burned out, disappointed and dissatisfied with most things in life.

What if you had strategies for overcoming age prejudice and inequality, dealing with the fact that you are overpromising and underserved, and being used as a doormat for the success of others? What if you find out after completing a leadership program that puts you through endless hours of undelegated work, only to find out you’ve been passed over? What you believed to be true was a lie.

The latest stats [from the Society for Human Resource Management] tells a bigger story. Women continue to exit the workforce and are having a trying time making up for two years of COVID’s hurricane of events.
