MCU X-Men Art makes the perfect case for Giancarlo Esposito as Professor X

Giancarlo Esposito is cast as Professor Xavier from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in new fan art reminiscent of X-Men: The Animated Series.

A new piece X-Men fan art imagines Giancarlo Esposito as Professor Charles Xavier Marvel Cinematic Universe. Patrick Stewart famously brought the leader of the mutants into live action X-Men Premiered in 2000. He later played Professor X on 20th Century Fox seven times X-Men Franchise. In 2017 loganStewart and Hugh Jackman returned to their characters Xavier and Wolverine for what appears to be the last time.

When Disney acquired Fox in 2019, Deadpool, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men were brought under Marvel Studios control. After it was announced that these characters would be integrated into the MCU, Stewart reprized his role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As the film progresses, its titular character ends up in an alternate reality, Earth-838. There he is arrested and escorted to the Illuminati, a secret society of superheroes consisting of Karl Mordo, Captain Carter, Maria Rambeau/Captain Marvel, Black Bolt, Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic and Professor Charles Xavier – who rode into the frame in his iconic yellow wheelchair X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-97). Given that Stewart’s short-lived MCU tenure took place in a different universe, chances are that Professor X from Earth-616 will be played by a different actor.
