A mutant revelation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a Disney+ show is a sign that certain X-Men characters could very well appear in The Marvels.
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Mrs Miracle Episode 6!
Mrs MiracleThe mutant reveal at the end implies that two huge X-Men rumors could happen The wonders or in the near future. At this time, the X-Men are not part of the core Marvel Cinematic Universe. Anyone with powers was last dubbed an “extended human” by the Department of Damage Control. There was also no direct mention of mutants or mutant species until Mrs Miracle Season 1 finale in which Bruno tests Kamala Khan and tells her she has a mutation in her DNA. She brushes it off as nothing and the show’s season comes to an end. This marks the first time mutants were mentioned in the MCU’s Earth-616. The Earth-838 universe, on the other hand, has mutants as part of the world, as implied by Professor X’s appearance as part of the Illuminati Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
These are the only two references to mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, and they’re both part of Phase 4 of the MCU. Since these events took place as part of the beginning of Phase 4, it’s all the more likely that these are clues that mutants are making their way into the Marvel Universe. The inclusion of Ms. Marvel as a mutant would also change things for the Marvel Universe as she would be the first Earth-616 mutant introduced to the viewing audience.
The two most rumored cast members for the upcoming team-up movie The wonders (including Kamala Khan, Carol Danvers, and Monica Rambeau) are rogues of the X-Men and the Starjammers, who are essentially the X-Men’s version of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Rogue is a super-powered mutant with the unique ability to absorb and steal people’s powers, stripping their memories, physical strength, and everyone’s superpowers. The Starjammers are a ragtag team, akin to the Guardians of the Galaxy, who are space pirates and made a home for Captain Marvel after she left Earth. That they appear in the Captain Marvel sequel is a lot more plausible now that Kamala has been confirmed to be mutated, considering Iman Vellani is reprising her role for the Phase 4 film.
What Rogue & Starjammers would mean for the Marvels & MCU X-Men
The inclusion of Rogue in The wonders would mean she could be the supervillain of the story since her first appearance in the comics was as a villain. Including her as a member of the cast would then solidify the X-Men coming into the MCU, just not all at once. If they end up involving Rogue The wonders, she would spell out the beginning of cinema audiences enjoying the X-Men in the MCU, and the eventual downfall of Carol Danvers as Rogue steals her powers and memories in the comics. There’s constant bad blood between Rogue and Carol Danvers in the comics, and her looks could make for a great villain for the cast, too The wonders. Give The wonders A mutated villain would also suit Kamala’s first major film antagonist.
The inclusion of the Starjammers in the MCU would mean that they will most likely follow the storyline where Carol Danvers loses everything and retires from Earth to travel with the Starjammers. The Starjammers could mean the end of Captain Marvel as people know her, but also a place for Carol Danvers to find solace, much like Thor did with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Her exploits with the Starjammers could also explain where Carol Danvers has been in the five years since the blip. If they make the Starjammers anywhere near as lovable as the Guardians of the Galaxy, they will be a strong and welcome team in the MCU. These two mutant beings bond The wonders would spell a bright future for the MCU and would show people how mutantkind is introduced to cinema audiences.
