Since Mrs Miracle Coming to Disney+ in early June, fans have been smitten with the latest and youngest addition to the team, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. And to say that Ms. Marvel herself, aka Iman Vellani, is the Marvel-based series’ biggest fan would be an understatement. As a die-hard fan of the comics and screen productions that Marvel has produced over the past few years, no one else can match Vellani’s superhero knowledge.
Not only does she most likely know more about the backgrounds of the various characters than her peers and fellow actors, but so does Iman Vellani Wonder to the fact that being inside the Kevin Feige universe allows her a first glimpse and a fuller understanding of what is to come. Sitting down during Late Night with Seth Meyers, which you can see below, the young actress admitted to having multiple online burner accounts that allow her to post anonymously and connect with other Marvel fans. She revealed that her favorite account was Reddit, where she meddles in the discourse surrounding fan theories about what’s going to happen next. As others make their false speculations about what’s to come for Ms. Marvel and the other characters in her series, Vellani rushes to the keyboard to tell them how wrong they are. If only they knew they were getting real inside information!
In the series, Iman Vellani plays the title character Ms. Marvel. Art mimics life as Kamala Khan is as big an Avengers fan as Vellani. In particular, Kamala idolizes and fangirls via Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). When Kamala mysteriously acquires a set of superpowers of her own, the teenage girl has a much more challenging time adjusting than she imagined. In addition to her new powers, she still has to deal with family, friends, and the endless pain of high school.
Together with Iman Vellani, Mrs Miracle also stars Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Laurel Marsden, Azhar Usman, Rish Shah, Arian Moayed, Alysia Reiner, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, Travina Springer, Adaku Ononogbo, Samina Ahmad, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Farhan Akhtar, and Aramis Knight. The series was created by Bisha K. Ali, a writer and comedian who also ran the writers’ room for the series. The production added other creatives with long backgrounds in the film industry and hired Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known as Team Adil & Bilall, as lead directors. If you’re a fan of the Bad Boys franchise, you’ll recognize the duo’s names from Helming bad boys for life.
As for the adventures of Kamala Khan, we can see them next in the 2023 movie, The wonders, where she will meet her personal hero, Captain Marvel. While we don’t have a lot of information on the production, if you go to Reddit and post a fan theory, there’s a chance Iman Vellani might show up to confirm your Marvel dreams or pop out of the water.
