Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker’s baby journey is a ‘fight’

Do not give up! Following Travis Barker‘s recent health crisis, a source tells exclusively Us weekly that the musician is still looking forward to starting a family with a wife Kourtney Kardashian.

“Her pregnancy story will unfold in the next season of more The Kardashians‘ the insider shared Us on Monday 25 July. “They both want another child and want to expand their families, but most of all they really want a child together.”

According to the source, the couple’s pregnancy journey is something fans will be “very focused on” when the Hulu series returns in September. The insider also noted that her attempts to expand her family continue to be “a struggle” for her.

After the engagement in season 1 of The Kardashians in May, the TV personality, 43, and Barker, 46, decided to discuss their on-screen fertility journey. Kardashian is already mom to son Mason, 12, daughter Penelope, and son Reign, 7, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. For his part, the drummer shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

“The fertility journey, Travis and I, we’re staying in the moment and just doing the steps that we need to take,” the reality star explained during an episode of the show about exploring IVF. “It’s nice to hear good news and to be positive. We love that, but we’re just waiting for the last words.”

The Poosh founder also gushed about getting through the big moment with Barker by her side. “I’m super grateful that Travis is doing this with me. I don’t think I can do this on my own,” she said in a confessional. “I just feel like we need to do this together. Having a baby together means we have to be on the same page.”

Barker, who married Kardashian in May, was having a health scare when he was hospitalized with pancreatitis in June. Us confirmed at the time that the Blink 182 band member was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in an ambulance.

Back then, the Meet the barkers Alum reflected on the “excruciating pain” his wife developed after a routine endoscopy.

“During the endoscopy I had a very small polyp removed directly in a very sensitive area that is usually treated by specialists and unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube,” he wrote via Instagram earlier this month. “This led to severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so very, very grateful that I am currently doing much better with intensive treatment.”

Kardashian also described the “scary and emotional week” for the family. “Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went for a routine endoscopy together and he developed severe, life-threatening pancreatitis,” she shared in her own Instagram statement. “I am so thankful to God for healing my husband, for all your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support.”
