While the original poster showed Chris Hemsworth’s Thor standing on a mountain with Mjolnir, the fan edit sees Antony Starr’s Homelander shooting the god of thunder off the mountain with his laser sight. The young aired the season 3 finale on Prime Video on July 8, the same day love and thunder came to the cinemas. love and thunder marks Hemsworth’s fourth solo film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the eponymous God of Thunder. The film sees Thor, alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy, Jane Foster’s the Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman) and King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), take on the villainous Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). According to director Taika Waititi, Bales Gorr is one of the best villains the MCU has seen to date. However, how any of these characters would fare against Homelander remains to be seen.


The Boys vs. Thor: Love and Thunder

This is not the first time The young made fun of it a little love and thunder. Trailers for both projects came after a long wait and increasing fan demand. After the release of the trailer for The youngIn the third season of the Prime Video series, Waititi begged to also release the trailer for the upcoming Marvel movie. In April, the show responded to the long-awaited love and thunder Trailer, tweeting: “A month late but we’re taking it.”

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Ennis and Darick Robertson, The young was already picked up for season 4. Prior to its release, Season 3 was touted by the cast and crew as the goriest installment of the Prime Video series yet, and a significant part of the plot revolves around The Boys’ attempt to kill Homelander once and twice for all. However, the mission turned out to be more difficult than expected. In a recent interview, Starr revealed what his character would consider a “happy ending” for himself.

“I think Homelander’s happy ending would be him destroying everyone in the world and sitting alone in a fucking wasteland with no one messing with him,” he said. “I don’t think there is a redemption story for Homelander. I honestly wouldn’t really want to see that. I don’t think there’s any intention to do that either.”
