Halsey paintings created live during the concerts will be auctioned off to benefit the National Network of Abortions

Halsey is believed to have fallen from Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court last month to auction five artworks they created to benefit the National Network of Abortions.

The 27-year-old singer, who uses the pronouns she/they, created the images on stage during concerts on her Love and Power Tour in Detroit; Boston; Nashville; Gulf Shores, Alabama; and Portland, Oregon, Billboard reported.

The Edison, New Jersey-born entertainer, whose full name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, completed each of the artworks in three minutes during the performance, featuring white canvases adorned with black sketches and filled in with a variety of colors.

The latest: Halsey, 27, is said to have died after falling from Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court last month to auction five artworks they created to benefit the National Network of Abortions

Each of the artworks is currently featured in an exhibition at Sotheby’s New York, with bids starting at $5,000 each.

The Grammy-nominated artist responded bluntly to the landmark ruling as her tour featured visual images detailing facts about abortion and led the audience with chants of the phrase “My body, my choice.”

The Bad at Love artist wrote an article for Vogue earlier this month entitled “My Abortion Saved My Life”: Halsey on the End of Roe v. Wade detailing how her life was saved by having an abortion at risk of sepsis.

“I had three miscarriages before my 24th birthday,” said the Without Me actor. “One of my miscarriages required a ‘follow-up’, a gentle way of saying I would need an abortion because my body would not be able to complete the pregnancy on its own and I would risk going into sepsis without medical intervention.

“I cried during this procedure. I was afraid for myself and I was helpless. I was desperate to end the pregnancy that was threatening my life.’

Halsey, who welcomed son Ender Ridley Aydin with Alev Aydin last July, said they have become even more vocal about abortion rights since becoming a mother.

“Many people have asked me if I’ve reconsidered my stance on abortion after having a child after years of fighting,” Halsey said. “The answer is clearly no. In fact, I’ve never felt so strong afterwards.

“My abortion saved my life and made way for my son. Every person deserves the right to choose when, if and how to have this dangerous and life-changing experience.’

The Nightmare singer’s artistic offerings are part of a Sotheby’s Contemporary Discoveries auction that runs until July 19. The auction, which includes work created after the 1960s, also includes work by artists such as Aboudia, Larry Bell, George Condo, Os Gemeos and Larry Poons, Victor Vasarely and others.
