Today, Gwyneth Paltrow is probably best known to many viewers around the world as Virginia “Pepper” Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though she’s never had a solo film or officially been an Avenger, Gwyneth Paltrow has been a part of the biggest film franchise in history since its inception in 2008 iron man. Apart from that, she has a long and respected acting career and an Oscar for her performance in 1998s Shakespeare in love. According to an article in Vulture, Gwyneth Paltrow also believes her own children are given “access” to show business contacts that others don’t have, but it actually makes it harder for them.

Gwyneth Paltrow expressed those feelings about her family’s wealth of show business credentials (and actual monetary wealth). Who is in my bathroom?, a YouTube series by Hailey Beiber. After a smoothie together, Paltrow and Beiber reflected on the topic of nepotism, i.e. the practice of favoring family or friends in a professional context. Gwyneth Paltrow took the time to say that she feels that “someone’s” (i.e., someone who is famous or powerful) children are often “given access that other people don’t have.” However, she believes that “once you get your foot in the door you walked in wrongly, you have to work almost twice as hard and be twice as good,” and also that many people take a “down pull” or pretend that the family connections that once got you to a privileged place somehow mean you don’t rightfully belong there.

The conversation between Gwyneth Paltrow and Hailey Beiber drifted toward nepotism, for understandable reasons. Paltrow was formerly married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin (from whom she “consciously split”) in 2014, with whom she has two children. She is currently married to Brad Falchuk, the television producer and co-creator of joy, American Horror Storyand pose, among many others. It is reasonable to assume that their children will likely have more ‘access’ than others whose parents are not ‘somebody’. Gwyneth Paltrow is the daughter of Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner and director Bruce Paltrow; Incidentally, her first screen role was in a film directed by her father, and her first theater role was at a prestigious festival where her mother was a regular performer. She attended Crossroads School with many other distinguished alumni.

On the other side of the Gwyneth Paltrow conversation, Hailey Beiber is married to mega-popular musician Justin Beiber and the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin; When she was 13, she appeared on an episode of Saturday night live The host is her uncle Alec Baldwin. Speaking of Saturday night liveperformed Gwyneth Paltrow iron man alongside Robert Downey Jr., the nephew of the legendary SNL Author Jim Downey and son of experimental filmmaker Robert Downey Sr. The film’s villain was portrayed by Jeff Bridges, son of Hollywood Walk of Fame member Lloyd Bridges and brother of three-time Emmy, two-time Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Beau Bridges.
