General Hospital Recap: Carly rejects Nina’s offer to return her hotel, The Metro Court

At the park, after their kiss, Rory tells Trina that he’s wanted to do this for a long time. Trina is glad he finally did, unless that was just the distraction she asked for. He doesn’t know and suggests they kiss again to check. They lean in for another kiss and agree that they both enjoyed it. However, Trina says it can’t happen again. He asks why? She explains that it’s complicated and he’s so great to her and her friends, aside from arresting Spencer and Cam. He asks if she’s pulling out because she was still DJing with Spencer?

Trina assures Rory that she and Spencer were never a couple. She expects her trial to start tomorrow and if she is convicted what future do they have? Rory trusts that everything will be fine and that she will be exonerated.

At the Metro Court pool, Sonny and Olivia ponder who might have bought the other half of the hotel. Sonny notices Drew on the phone in the background and wonders if Carly might have a guardian angel. Drew approaches them looking for Carly. Sonny reveals they just found out someone who bought Carly’s stake in Metro Court. Drew explains that it wasn’t him. Dex appears and tells Sonny the car is ready. Sonny needs to check on Sasha and Brando and tells Olivia he’s here if Carly needs anything.

On the way out, Sonny gets a call from Brick. Sonny asks Brick to investigate something for him right away.

Drew apologizes for costing Olivia her partner. Olivia knows that Michael is also to blame for driving Ned out of the company. Drew thinks she can’t agree with what Ned did, but she stands by her husband. She wishes, however, that this family would not constantly be at odds with each other. Drew says it’s the Quartermaine way. He thinks what Ned did was selfish and burned a lot of people. Olivia says it won’t be the last time a family member burns him, so welcome to the family.

In Carly’s office, Nina tells Carly that she bought her half of Metro Court. Carly assumes she did that to frame her, but Nina explains that she bought the hotel for her. Nina wants to return it with no strings attached, and she doesn’t think it’s fair that she lost her half of the hotel trying to help her son. Carly knows there must be something in it for Nina and asks if she expects this to make things right. Nina knows there is nothing she can do to repair the damage she has done to her, and Carly agrees. Nina asks Carly to let her do this for her because she owes her. Nina knows there’s nothing she can do to balance the scales, but maybe this will allow her to tip more in the middle, and that’s all she wants.

Carly lashes out at her because her lawyer portrayed Michael as a threat to women in court, and she will never forgive her for that. That’s why she doesn’t accept her offer. Carly tells Nina she’ll be out by the end of the week now that this place is hers.

Carly goes to the pool and hugs Olivia. She tells Olivia and Drew that Nina bought the hotel to give back to her and she told her, “Hell no!” Olivia considered, but wished she had accepted Nina’s offer. Olivia can’t imagine running this place with her. Olivia heads home and puts Leo to bed.

Drew finds that Carly is committed and has turned down offer number three. Carly says she could be starving and destitute and still not take a penny from Nina. Drew asks what her plan is now. She doesn’t have any and admits she feels lost and it scares her because she isn’t. Drew hugs her.

In the hospital, Brando is sitting next to Sasha’s bed. She wakes up and wants him to be honest with her and ask how bad the aftermath is. He wants her to focus on resting and recovering, which makes her realize it’s that bad.

Gladys comes over and asks Sasha how she’s feeling. Brando explains that she is stressed about what happened. Gladys assures her that everything is fine and everyone is worried about her. Sasha says she’s going home tomorrow and can get back to business. She then notices a look between Brando and Gladys and asks what they don’t tell her. Brando says they need to get their treatment for the pills. Sasha swears the pills were a one-off thing for the show, but Gladys admits she told Brando she used them before to get through the IPO. Gladys leaves her to talk.

Alone, Sasha Brando swears she doesn’t need any further treatment and she’s done with the pills. Brando wants to believe her, but he can’t. He points out that she lied to him. He reminds her that he’s an addict too and she needs to go to rehab to get back on track and learn to manage her triggers.

Sonny arrives at the hospital and Gladys admits that she blames herself for this. She should have told someone about Sasha and the pills sooner. Sonny assures her that she hasn’t let anyone down and Mike would be proud of her. Gladys thanks him and they hug.

Gladys returns to Sasha’s room and explains that Sonny is here, but Sasha doesn’t want any visitors. Brando challenges Sasha to think about what he said. He leaves and thanks Sonny for coming over, but he doesn’t know how to get through to Sasha. Sonny advises him to keep going and eventually she will start listening.

Sonny has to go and meets Nina on the way out. Nina explains that she’s there to check on Sasha, but Sonny needs to talk to her. He leads her away for some privacy. Sonny knows she bought Carly’s half of the hotel. Nina admits it and insists she tried to give it back to Carly but she has accused her of being selfish. Sonny replies, “Can you blame her?” Nina expects Carly to think the worst of her, but not of him.

Sonny merely pointed out that Nina and Carly have a history. Nina admits that she partly tried to repair some of the damage she caused and make it easier for them to move forward. She thinks it would be nice if this pain were behind them both. Sonny notes that they cannot undo the past, only make peace with it. Nina asks if he has? Sonny wants to be with her wherever that takes her, and he’s all about it. They share a kiss.

Gladys returns to see Sasha. Sasha asks Gladys to stand behind her and that she’s learned her lesson and can’t assert herself like she used to. Gladys begs her not to live her life triggered by infants, and it’s clear she hasn’t come to terms with the loss of Liam. She asks her to get the help she needs. Sasha feels like she doesn’t need to be sent to rehab and in 24 hours it will be entirely her own decision.

Portia calls to get another appointment with a geneticist because the matter is urgent. Curtis and Marshall approach and Curtis asks, “What’s urgent?” Portia explains that she was trying to consult a patient and asks what brings her to the hospital.

Curtis informs Portia that they have a lead thanks to Marshall. They found out who sold Esme the Burner phone, but he’s kept a low profile since the bar robbery. Curtis works to find out the names of the bartender’s friends and associates, where he may be hiding. Curtis gets a call and apologizes. Portia thanks Marshall for what he is doing to help Trina.

Marshall thanks Portia for allowing him to stay with her and Curtis. She commends the courage it took to open up to Curtis about his mental illness. Knowing that symptoms usually appear in his early 20s, she asks about his symptoms. He explains that he was paranoid that the government was after him. Curtis returns and Portia asks if his contact found anything. Curtis has a list of addresses and Taggert will help him verify it. Marshall insists he helps Curtis, too.

on the next General Hospital: Marshall tells Curtis he’s lucky. Ava, with Joss by her side, asks Trina to tell them what this evidence is that could exonerate them. Victor informs Valentin that he has taken matters into his own hands since failing. Spencer tells Esme he’s going to rock her world.
