One of the tweets Emily liked reads, “Emrata finally free from this man, just proves god is very real indeed.”
Emily Ratajkowski has always been incredibly private when it comes to her marriage.
In February 2018, the model announced on Instagram that she had secretly married actor and producer Sebastian Bear-McClard in a New York City courthouse.
At the time of their wedding, Emily and Sebastian had only been dating for a few weeks, but she later revealed they had actually known each other for years.
Months after their wedding, Emily went on to say Busy tonight: “We knew each other long before that and he likes to joke, ‘Yeah, everyone thinks we got married quickly, but you checked me out for two years.'”
And in October 2020, Emily was over the moon when she revealed she was pregnant in an essay for Vogue.
“Pregnancy is inherently lonely; it’s something a woman does on her own, in her body, no matter what her circumstances may be,” she wrote at the time. “Even though I have a loving partner and many girlfriends who are willing to share the dark details of their pregnancies, I am ultimately alone with my body in this experience.”
“There’s no one who feels it in me — the sharp muscle pains in my lower abdomen that come out of nowhere while I’m watching a movie, or the aching heaviness in my breasts that first thing I do every morning now,” she said. “My husband has no physical symptoms during ‘our’ pregnancy, another reminder of how different life experiences can be between women and men.”
Emily has also been open about her conflicting views on having a young son or daughter. Reflecting on a little girl, she wrote: “I still regularly battle subconscious and internal misogyny and catch myself measuring the width of my hips against that of another woman. Who says I could protect my daughter from that?”
But if she were to have a boy, she feared “unwittingly cultivating the carelessness and inattention that men are so comfortable with.” Emily added, “I’ve known far too many white men who are unaware of their privilege, and many of my experiences with them have traumatized me.”
The star gave birth to a baby boy, whom she and Sebastian named Sylvester, on March 8, 2021.
After Sylvester’s arrival, Emily told Elle that she was immediately relieved to learn she was having a boy.
“I initially wanted a daughter, but when I found out I was having a son, I was so relieved,” she later admitted — of being sexualized well before puberty and being aware of it.”
Emily also gave an insight into her birthing experience, telling the publication, “It’s been one of the most powerful physical experiences just being in a room and trusting my body — although there are people around me who say they know better than.” me or that they have a right to it in any way – was enormously impressive.
And while the star has been consistently candid about motherhood, even sharing photos of her son on Instagram, she’s always remained incredibly secretive about her and Sebastian’s relationship.
When rumors of a split surfaced earlier this year, it’s no surprise Emily didn’t respond to the speculation.
People started wondering about the status of their marriage when Emily stopped wearing her wedding ring in public. She also didn’t post a public message to Sebastian for Father’s Day last month.
A source later told Entertainment Tonight last week that the couple were divorcing. “Emily and Sebastian have split up. They’ve had issues as a couple for a while,” the source explained. “Emily is adjusting to this change and plans to file for divorce soon.”
Another insider told Page Six that they were breaking up because Sebastian was “a serial cheater” and Emily had been unfaithful.
Again, Emily didn’t comment on the reports, but she seemed to subtly confirm the rumors were true with some sneaky Twitter activity this week.
Eagle-eyed fans noted that the star had liked a number of tweets discussing her marital breakdown.
Through her Twitter likes, Emily hinted that she’s “celebrating” her breakup, and she even seemed to give a tweet calling Sebastian a “little bitch” her seal of approval by liking him.
“I can’t believe that little bitch cheated on Emrata,” the tweet read.
The other tweets Emily liked about their breakup were, “Girls how are we celebrating Emrata’s divorce” and “Emrata finally free from this man just proves that God is very real indeed.”
Emily still hasn’t made an official statement about her and Sebastian’s marriage, but if her social media activity is anything, it’s safe to assume it’s really over.
