Then chaos followed kids skirt abruptly canceled his North Dakota concert on Friday (July 22) due to a tornado warning that went into effect at 9 p.m. in northern North Dakota.

The controversial hitmaker was forced to cancel his headlining gig on The North Dakota State Fair at the last minute due to impending severe weather.

After the cancellation, the “Bad Reputation” singer apologized to fans and expressed his irritation via Twitter.

“SO CHEERED ON that we couldn’t play to a sold out crowd tonight in Minot, ND (due to high winds) – I know it sucks but none of us can control mother nature,” Kid Rock wrote on Twitter after the show was cancelled. “Please be safe and take care of each other.”

In addition to releasing a message from Kid Rock to fans, the North Dakota State Fair also issued a statement regarding the abrupt cancellation.

“Due to safety concerns over high winds, lightning and severe weather in the area, the Kid Rock concert has had to be cancelled,” the statement said. “The North Dakota State Fair will issue refunds to all ticket purchasers.”
