Castanet and Rock The Lake Team Up to Offer Concert Discounts – Kelowna News

Castanet has an offer for news and music fans.

As a special offer for new and existing newsletter subscribers, we’ve partnered with Rock The Lake to offer a 20% discount on tickets for this year’s concert.

Every day until the start of the festival on August 5th, the daily Castanet newsletter will contain a special discount link through which you can purchase both three-day and one-day passes for the concerts with a 20% discount.

Here you can register for the daily newsletter. Sent to your email inbox at 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, it features the day’s most important headlines from across the Okanagan and beyond.

Rock The Lake runs August 5-7 in front of Prospera Place and is directed by Brian Wilson featuring Al Jardine, The Tea Party, A Flock of Seagulls, Moist, Eve 6, Bif Naked, The Kings, Chilliwack and more.

The festival’s opening night on Friday will be headlined by A Flock of Seagulls, while also featuring The Motels, Five Man Electrical Band and The Spoons.

Canadian rock icons The Tea Party will wrap up Saturday’s show, which will also feature Moist, Eve 6, Bif Naked and Grapes of Wrath.

Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson will join Al Jardine to perform their only Canadian show of 2022 during the final night of Rock The Lake on August 7th. Also performing on Sunday are Trooper, Chilliwack, Carole Pope and Rough Trade and The Kings.

Festival organizers are excited to bring the community back together in a big way after years of being separated.

“Rock The Lake is about bringing people together, sharing experiences, playing live music and making the connections that we’ve been missing over the last few years. GSL Group has always strived to create places for people to meet and celebrate the Okanagan summer. We are incredibly excited about the collection of talented performers and believe this is the best lineup we have ever had,” said Mike Strawn, vice president of sales and strategic partnerships at GSL Group.

As in previous years, the interior of Prospera Place will be open for guests to cool off with all the facilities, concession stands and a fully licensed restaurant. The festival site offers food trucks, drinks and VIP access. Patrons are allowed to bring their own lawn chairs for this all-ages event.

Rock The Lake will also be partnering with One Tree Planted this year to help replenish British Columbia’s forests. GSL Group pledges to plant a tree in British Columbia for every ticket sold to help restore forests damaged by recent wildfires and natural disasters.
