Black Panther 2 will reportedly make “big waves” this month

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has his work cut out for him. The original 2018 film was incredibly successful and quite groundbreaking, which makes it difficult to follow. Not only that, but the film needs to advance the stories of half a dozen characters in a meaningful way, while also introducing new ones into the mix.

But maybe the biggest Black Panther 2 must deal with the legacy of the franchise’s lead man, Chadwick Boseman, who tragically died in 2020 before the cameras started rolling for the sequel.

Marvel Studios is set to take San Diego Comic Con by storm this year, and fans are hoping for announcements to match the volume of the dizzying array of new projects unveiled at the last SDCC in 2019. The studio is expected to return to Hall H of Comic-Con for its big presentation on the future of the MCU, with guesses how She-Hulk: Lawyer and Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. expected to be discussed.

Of course, studio president Kevin Feige and co. will also attend the con to talk about their next feature film – Wakanda forever.

A sparkling Black Panther 2 presentation

According to Deadline, Marvel Studios’ Hall H-Panel will be “delivered” at San Diego Comic-Con 2022make making waves with his upcoming new movies (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and the Disney+ series (She Hulk), but it will keep some powder dry for D23 in early September.”

The panel will take place on Saturday, July 23rd, the exact time will be announced at a later date.

What will Black Panther 2 bring to Comic-Con?

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 will be the first full release of the show in three whole years. Looking back, fans may recall that last time out, Marvel Studios announced a large number of projects for both Disney+ and theatrical releases. Now with Thor: Love and Thunder Every single entry from this announcement has been released in cinemas in 2019.

Marvel also had quite a show at Disney Investor Day in late 2020, but that was merely the use of a pre-recorded webcast and shouldn’t be compared to the tremendous energy of an SDCC panel.

With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever As it’s the next film on the agenda, a lot of the fanfare at Comic-Con will surely be focused on the upcoming sequel. It seems likely that at least some of the main actors will be present on stage and that some footage of the crowd will be shown (which may or may not be officially released online afterwards).

This is Marvel Studios’ big return to the stage. MCU fans would do well to get on the hype train when all indications are that the studio is going big this year.

As Deadline mentioned, Disney will likely want Marvel to hold back on some reveals for September’s D23. However, and especially considering that this is the first major fan event since 2019, Feige will have even more surprises up his sleeve at SDCC.

As mentioned above, the panel will take place on July 23rd and if things go by tradition it will likely start in the early to mid-evening.

Marvel Studios Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11th.
