Big Brother Spoilers: Veto Contest Goes Medieval

By John Powell – GlobalTV.com

HoH Daniel’s best plans have truly been laid to rest.

Michael Bruner, the Minnesota attorney and self-confessed Big Brother superfan, will stand out from the block when he won the Power of Veto today.

Daniel had put Michael and the bus driver Turner on the block.

“You did really, really well,” Ameerah said to Michael in the kitchen after the challenge. All were dressed in medieval costumes.

Michael explained his strategy for winning the contest, which according to a brief feed leak of the contest setup appeared to have something to do with tournaments.

“I tilted my body instead of steering the stick,” he said.

Out in the real world, Daniel’s fiancé – Hayden Middleton – celebrated Michael’s win on Instagram.

Upstairs in the HoH room, the mood was anything but celebratory as Daniel began to stress out with Taylor on that side.

“Obviously I’m not sleeping tonight. It’s not happening,” said a stunned and exhausted Daniel, stripping off his medieval attire.

“Do you have people in mind?” Taylor asked about his possible backup nomination.

“Now the pool is smaller. I have one more speech to make about small pools,” he said, implying he needs to reconsider the whole situation now.

“I’d like to see Terrance stay, but at whose expense?” Taylor asked.

Daniel told Taylor that he respects Michael for pulling out the clutch win.

Below, Alyssa, Paloma and Ameerah reviewed Daniels’ behavior during the competition.

“If I win HoH I’ll field Daniel and Nicole,” said a pissed off Alyssa.

“Daniel is problematic on so many levels because if he loses it’s a bad sport. He would get angry. When Indy accidentally got her hand on it, he said she cheated. He said that during the competition… He has to go,” Paloma said.

Ameerah, who appeared to have finished second, had the women privy to the deal Michael tried to make with her during the competition, a deal she refused.

“Michael said he would never nominate me if I let him win,” she said.

“Who is he taking in?” Alyssa asked.

“Kyle,” Ameerah guessed.

Before the competition took place, Ameerah met up with Daniel in the HoH room.

“If I save someone first, would you be mad? Do you want to betray someone?” She asked him.

“No, because then I don’t have a goal,” he admitted.

“I want you to win. That would be my ideal situation,” Ameerah said.

Meanwhile, Michael was pacing the Have Not room, trying to build confidence for the challenge. He got a little help from Brittany.

“I win this veto. Someone else rises. I want to know what’s going on with this backstage twist because I really, really want to keep Brittany in the game,” he repeated over and over.

Brittany entered the room just as Michael left. They collided hilariously. She gave him a pep talk.

“Imagine we go to the storage room and celebrate! That will happen! If you win this thing, you can save yourself!” she said, encouraging him.
