The city of Love has fallen to the town of Bennifer after Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez flew to Paris following their surprise wedding in Las Vegas last weekend.
Of course, their presence in the French capital has drawn considerable fanfare and paparazzi attention since Thursday night as they sight-see with their children in tow for a romantic summer holiday.
But where Affleck goes, of course, the memes follow.
And so, much to the delight of everyone online, the Oscar-winner was photographed in a variety of states, including with his eyes wide closed and his mouth open as he appeared to be napping during the couple’s two-hour private tour of the Seine river.
In photos believed to be taken from shore, Affleck, who is believed to be missing his regular Dunkin’ coffee, dozes off with his feet propped up on the railing of the ship, which People noted is a 71-foot teak “Gentleman.” -Yacht” from the 1950s.
A very alert Affleck can be seen in other photos from the outing with Lopez, which he enjoyed with their 14-year-old twins, Emme and Max, and his daughters with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 16, and Seraphina. 13.
Lopez and Affleck were also spotted kissing on a park bench for more than two hours, according to People, who quoted an unnamed source as noting that they looked “like two teenagers” and were “very loving, very thoughtful.”
The post-wedding vacation coincided with Lopez’s 53. birthday together on Sunday. To mark the occasion, the couple enjoyed a dinner next to the Eiffel Tower at Girafe restaurant, where Affleck appeared to be getting emotional in photos obtained by TMZ.
During one tender moment, Lopez seemingly comforted the tearful actor, pulling him close to her face.
The meal ended with the “Marry Me” star reportedly releasing a turquoise balloon, which for some reason they brought into the seafood restaurant and tied to their table.
Affleck took photos to commemorate the moment, which we can only assume will end up on his not-so-secret Instagram account.
The couple, who rekindled their relationship after first dating in the early 2000s, have a lot to celebrate after tying the knot almost 20 years after breaking up with their original engagement.
The newlyweds are reportedly planning a second ceremony for friends and family to take place in the coming weeks at Affleck’s Georgia home, where they planned to be married for the first time.
“Jen and Ben are still planning on having a bigger celebration with family and friends soon to celebrate their love in a bigger way,” an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight.
“The newly married couple have kept partying to a minimum as they plan to host a larger gathering in the coming weeks,” the source added. “Both have been married before and wanted to keep the marriage quiet and low-key before planning a big celebration in Georgia.”
